Mother, Three kids dead as another building collapses in Lagos — TheInfoNG


A hilltop structure collapsed on a building housing one Mrs. Jumiah Utache and her children Faith, nine (9), Domino, (2) and one-year-old Daniel on Saturday in Magodo, Lagos, killing all of them.

The building collapsed at 48, Orisa Street, Magodo Phase One, Isheri Waterfront during the heavy downpour.

It was gathered that a building from a top hill on Otun Araromi Street collapsed and fell on the family’s residence, crushing the woman and her children who were sleeping.

It was also learnt that the woman’s husband identified as Emmanuel Utache sustained injuries as a result of the incident.

It is a trying time for Lagosians as the deplorable state of the roads meets the incessant heavy downpour. Residents have cried out on social media for the government to find a long lasting solution to flood and bad roads across the state.
